A new season, a new look.
Over the past few months, between yard work, shovelling snow (yes, we have had a bit of the white stuff every
month so far this year), gardening, harvesting and new quilted and craft projects, we have been
working on a new look for The Periodical.
A house is a home when all of the rooms are intertwinded in one way or another. The flow from one room to the next is part of day to day living. Our garden chats will quite often lead us on a trail to the kitchen to prepare the bounty of the harvest. The need for recipes and articles has us gazing at the book shelves to locate our favorites or perhaps find something new. The same holds true for crafts
and special occassions or the need to curl up and relax
.
Our future editions will still include items and articles that you have become used to. All that have been inspired by country living, family and the various rooms in our home. Our format will be a little different and we will now publish quarterly. We hope you will like what you see, and as always, we welcome your comments.
Fall, and in some places, winter has arrived. Most have finished harvesting and are looking forward to
reaping the benefits of hours spent in the kitchen canning and preparing foods for winter storage. With the
change of seasons comes back to school, car pools and a need for meals that don't take a lot of time to prepare.
I am one of those people who keeps what I call my "Christmas" lists all year. Keeping lists make it easier for
me to find just the right gift when there is a special occassion. After all, the whole idea of a gift is not how
much was spent, but the thought.
Keep a small booklet with you.
If someone mentions that they wished they had this or they sure like that or wouldn't it be a treat to indulge in
something else, write it in your book under their name. As you make your way through the year
of Birthdays, Anniversaries and all of the holidays or other special events in our lives, you have your own gift registry
reference right at your fingertips. It is amazing how touched people are by the fact that "you remembered".
What's New
We continue to update with new product, additions to articles and of course, new pages.
The slow cooker page includes a variety of dishes and products. From my recipe collection, that has tattered and torn corners, is everything chocolate.
We have included offerings from Mother Nature in some of our new Pot Pourri recipes along with jelly made from these edible seeds.
If you are looking for a unique gift, books and music or a piece of jewelery for your holiday giving, check out our new additions. The new quilted items we have available include table runners, picture frames, patriotic wall hanging and something for Christmas.
To get the inside scoop on what's happening at Comfy Country Creations, have us send you a copy of our Periodical when we publish each time.
Until Next Time,
Ann
