For our readers who wondered if we were taking the summer off, the answer is no. We did, however enjoy our Canada Day celebrations on July 1st which gave us an extra long weekend. Our neighbors to the south will have hopefully enjoyed their Fourth of July festivities as well. It's too bad that the garden and house don't seem to recognize these as days of rest and relaxation!

The garden will certainly be starting to produce if you have been lucky enough to have moisture and sun in the needed amounts and at the right times.
